Fab Lab Seoul recently opened its subsidiary, Bio Lab, under the TIDE Institute. Bio Lab is a space for experimentation with biodesign, biotechnology and other biologically inspired techniques. Many of the activities that Bio Lab hopes to initiate, however, such as workshops and projects, require equipment found in a traditional laboratory. What better way to apply the "Maker mindset" than to create this equipment ourselves? We set out to design and build a centrifuge from scratch.
